Aldo Leopold (1887-1948) was an influential conservationist and environmentalist. He was a professor at the University of Wisconsin. His most popular–and maybe most important–work is Sand County Almanac (1949), a series of observations on nature that define his environmental philosophy. In 1982, his children founded the Aldo Leopold Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Discover more about the foundation at https://www.aldoleopold.org/.
